Introduction:

What is a macro? A macro is nothing but a piece of computer program or a set of instructions provided in excel using the Visual Basic Application (VBA) programming language. It is one of the most useful features of the VBA.

Then start the action you want to get recorded and click Stop Recording on stop recording tool bar.

The macros can be run not only in excel sheets but also in word and power point. It is very user friendly.
