Engineering Functions

The built-in Excel Engineering Functions have been provided to perform some of the commonly used engineering calculations, many of which relate to Bessel Functions, Complex Numbers or converting between different bases. Engineers will also find the Excel Math and Trig functions useful.

The tables below list all the Excel Engineering functions, grouped into categories, to help you to find the function you need. Note that some of the functions are new to Excel 2010, so are not available in earlier versions of Excel. Selecting a function name will take you to a full description of the function with examples of use.
